GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB
This is a full time position primarily consisting of the coordination of events for CCD-managed/owned parks and other CCD events on a daily basis. In addition, this position will manage the advertising, promotion, and assist with sponsorship fulfillment associated with those events. Assisting in developing event concepts, meetings and information coordination is also a key element in this position. During active events/seasons, weekend and evening work may be required.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Recommend, develop, and implement events/programs to ensure the successful animation of CCD managed/owned parks (Dilworth Park, Collins Park, Sister Cities Park and Cret Park) including: sourcing/ booking entertainment, creating/ordering signage, developing/selling/fulfilling sponsorship packages, managing the promotional plan, scheduling staffing and all other event logistics;
Work with the Business Services dept. to analyze the above-mentioned schedule of annual events for financial efficiencies, sponsorship tie-ins and revenue generation;
Work with café operators to coordinate their event participation;
Work with the Venue Sales Specialist to coordinate event rentals in parks;
Assist Director of Marketing and Events as needed with other events;
Schedule and coordinate staff holiday lunch and employee breakfast and other employee programs as needed;
Assist with CCD, CPDC meetings and events as needed;
Maintain mobile kiosk, re-stock as needed;
Oversee part time summer employees;
Oversee event data entry on website as needed;
Compile yearly event calendars;
Manage inventory of brochures and event supplies;
Oversee maintenance and organization of brochure/event supply storeroom;
Maintain event and informational brochure inventory;
Organize and maintain various project calendars;
Maintain stock of CCD, CPDC Publications, welcome packets, retail packets etc.
These are the essential functions of the position, other duties may be assigned. Incumbents may be required to follow any additional related instructions, acquire job related skills and perform other work as required.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university;
5-10 years marketing experience, preferred.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Ability to build and maintain professional relationships;
Excellent organizational skills;
Can work evenings and weekends as needed;
Ability to work well with others;
Ability to handle multiple projects;
Familiarity with Microsoft Office, PowerPoint, and social media platforms;
Must be able to pass a background investigation including criminal history, child abuse clearance, drug screening, and reference check.

The position requires that the employee have the ability to sit, stand, walk, use of hands and fingers, reach with arms and hands, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, talk or hear, taste or smell, and lift up to 25 lbs.
