Join a Committee

Committee members play a vital role in our chapter. Volunteering is a great way to get the most out of your membership - meet and connect with fellow members, help build the chapter and industry and become more rooted within our community!

Committee roles are volunteer positions, and can be tailored to fit your experience and availability. We understand that everyone’s ability to participate is different and we welcome and appreciate your help, time and skill set. Our committees typically meet a minimum of four times a year.

President

Responsible for:

Leadership – fostering teamwork and peak performance
Board Meetings – overseeing results and setting direction
Succession Planning – preparing future board leaders
Strategy – setting focus and priorities

Pressident Elect

Responsible for:

Board Meetings – plan and document chapter business
Finances – oversee chapter finances and accounts

V.P. of Membership

Responsible for:

Recruitment – promote benefits and boost membership
Retention – engage members and communicate feedback to the board
Committee Leadership – lead the Membership Committee and its members

V.P. of Communications

Responsible for:

Communication – share chapter updates and news
Marketing – promote ILEA’s mission and value
Committee Leadership - lead the Communications Committee and its members

V.P. of Education & Programs

Responsible for:

Education – curate topics and secure speakers for chapter meetings
Programming – produce and manage logistics for four chapter events annually
Marketing Support – collaborate on timely promotion of programs
Committee Leadership – lead the Education & Programs Committee

Director at Large

Responsible for:

Role Assignment – appointed by the President based on chapter needs
Committee Support – serve on one or more committees as assigned
Flexibility – adapt to evolving priorities and support mid-year adjustments
